My subject matter for the last few years has been very focused on my own personal experience since I paint from my own images regarding past places and people and also tends to play on surrealism inspired aspects by being interpreted through breaking free from the canvas. I am also very inspired by pushing boundaries of colours and using them in unrealistic ways. This image is from the western isles. Can be interpreted in different ways. The arm going around the canvas is a play on looking ahead into the distance. The arms coming round back to you.
